Culture Vultures explore the world
Posted: 23rd April 2019Curious young minds are taking a trip around the world to indulge in culture.
Culture Vultures is launching at Little Parndon Primary Academy to raise awareness of the diversity of the families making up the community.
The first “trip” will see pupils explore Africa, with pupils dressing in colourful clothes, eating a themed menu of food and taking lessons in African culture.
Parents will give assemblies to talk about their culture and religion.
Head of school Kirstie Clark said: “Every half-term, we will be jetting off to a different part of the world, starting with Africa.
“We want our pupils to be more open minded about how diverse our school is and more accepting of other cultures and religions. We want them to understand that while we all have different backgrounds, we are all the same inside.
“I think having that acceptance and understanding is really important.”
